Helsinki and Tallinn: 3–4 days
Two capitals in one weekend: Helsinki with Suomenlinna fortress, the harbour market, the rock church and a Finnish sauna by the sea, then a ferry of about two hours across the Gulf of Finland to Tallinn and its medieval Old Town, the Toompea viewpoints and the Telliskivi district. Fly into one and home from the other. Book everything yourself and keep this guide on your phone: it works offline.
